How to use stems to write a first name?

What we like about Emmanuel Grosbois is this ability to use all that his garden offers him, plants and minerals to create simple and ephemeral paintings. The challenge of the day is therefore: how to write a name on the wall for an occasion, that it be pretty (ah well yes anyway) and that we can erase everything when the party is over.
We will therefore not let the youngest child scribble with felt on the walls to make beautiful drawings, we will choose a solution that does not require repainting all the walls afterwards. Emmanuel Grosbois from the A Fleur d’Eau garden in Cherveux suggests that we go look for a few stems in the garden or in the forest.

Stems of what?

Ivy or bindweed. They just need to be long enough so that we can form letters. So we rid them of all their leaves and the shaping can begin.

Duration of the work?

A few weeks and of course we can add color to these words garland, paint, feathers, glitter: anything goes. After a few weeks the stem will have become brittle and we can say goodbye to it.
For a more lasting decoration we can buy iron wire, or even easier to work: aluminum wire in handicraft stores.

Here it is: by getting started, you will be ready for Christmas. Thanks Emmanuel.
