We must make room for the runners! This Friday, July 8, Meurthe-et-Moselle and the Vosges will vibrate on the occasion of the 7th stage of the Tour de France 2022, between Tomblaine and the Planche des Belles Filles. All the day after a promised arrival to the punchers in Longwy in the Pays Haut. As with each passage of the peloton, traffic restrictions are in place throughout the 176.3km of the route, and in particular in the towns crossed by the Grande Boucle.

Tomblaine

Starting city for this seventh stage, Tomblaine, north of Nancy, will welcome the riders from the early morning around the start line located rue Jean Moulin, at the Stade Marcel Picot. Consequently, the Jean Moulin-Stade Raymond Petit sector will be closed to traffic from the night beforethis Thursday, July 7 to allow the installation of the departure village.

The departure of the caravan being scheduled for 11:05 a.m., and that of the runners at 1:05 p.m., there will be, from 6 a.m. this Friday, crossings by the runners banned from traffic :

  • Boulevard Jean Jaures 6 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
  • Stone Bridge Street 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Crossroads of the Brotherhood of 10 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
  • Carrefour Place Francois Mitterrand 6 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
  • Avenue of the Republic of 6 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
  • Boulevard Henri Barbusse 6 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
  • November 11th Street 6 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
  • Carrefour Bd du Millénaire, rue du 11 Novembre, Bd Tolstoy de 10:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Boulevard Tolstoy from Bd du Millénaire to Avenue Sainte Marguerite on Art-sur-Meurthe 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
  • Chemin du Bois la Dame from Bd Tolstoy to the M2 of 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
  • M2 to the city exit of 8 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Note that in each of these streets, the parking will be prohibited from 8 p.m. this Thursday, July 7.

The peloton then takes the direction of Lunéville with from 11:47, the passage of the caravan. It will take around 1:45 p.m. for the peloton to reach the 3rd city of the department. The following streets will be like this no parking between 6 p.m. this Thursday and 3 p.m. this Friday:

  • General de Gaulle Avenue
  • Chanzy Street
  • Square of the 2nd DC
  • Republic street
  • Castara Street
  • Viller Street
  • Rue Saint Maur (part between rue de Viller and rue Sainte-Anne)
  • Avenue de Gerbeviller

Traffic will also be cut off from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the entire route this Friday, July 8.

Gerardmer

Place chosen for an intermediate sprint, the runners will therefore pass high speed in the Pearl of the Vosges, before reaching the Col de Grosse Pierre, the first listed difficulty of this 7th stage. The runners will arrive from Kichompré and then take the following streets, closed to traffic between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. this Friday:

  • Granges Boulevard
  • Faubourg de Bruyeres
  • Saint-Die Boulevard
  • Alsace Boulevard
  • Rue Carnot
  • Kelsch Boulevard
  • Boulevard Adolphe-Garnier
  • Lucienne Street
  • Charles de Gaulle Street
  • 152nd RI Street
  • Bresse road

From 4 p.m. this Thursday to 5 p.m. this Friday, parking will be prohibited throughout the course. With the exception of the rue du 152e RI whose measurement will be valid until 7 p.m. to allow the assembly and disassembly of the sprint area (between n°6 “Hôtel des Sapins” and the route de la Bresse).

Moreover, in this same sprint zone, the traffic will be alternated this Friday morning from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., and in the evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. There also to allow the installation and dismantling of the sprint zone.

After 4:15 p.m., the race will leave Lorraine to enter Haute-Saône, the last department crossed before arriving at the top of La Planche des Belles Filles. Arrival is scheduled between 5:15 p.m. and 5:43 p.m.
