How to buy school supplies much cheaper?

I found a way to divide the bill by 6, that is to say to go from a budget of around 200 euros per child to 30 euros…

This thanks to Emmaüs… There are 500 sales areas in France. In some there are special days but very often it is continuous… This is particularly the case in Laval at the moment, France Bleu Mayenne was talking about it yesterday morning, and it is a success.

Bargain prices

I was impressed: notebooks at fifty centimes, the same price for a pair of scissors or a compass, a satchel at 5 euros (second-hand), 10 pens for 1 euro…we really are in another world if we compared it to a large retailer, I went to take a look…8 euros for 3 notebooks, 1 euro 50 for a pair of scissors…(with prices on average up by 4%)

Equipment in good condition, of good quality

This is the Emmaüs trademark for once, they are very attached to selling products in good condition, there is in particular a whole work of verification, repair and cleaning that is done on the second-hand items before they go on sale.

So where do these supplies come from that they are sold at such low prices? Donations from individuals, companies or distributors with new and used.

I take this opportunity to remind you that if you have school supplies that you no longer use, do not throw them away, bring them back to the Emmaüs store if you have one near you and otherwise find out, there is often collections during this back-to-school period, this is the case today in Nice 6 rue Balatchano until 5:00 p.m. for example.

Resource conditions: with or without?

No conditions precisely, the goal is that everyone feels comfortable and walks through the door.

And then I wanted to remind you that beyond the savings we’re going to make, it’s a useful purchase: we support an association committed to professional integration and the circular economy. For this activity alone, more than 3,000 employees in integration and more than 4,000 volunteers are mobilized at Emmaüs. A total of 288,000 tonnes of products collected in 2021. That’s what we call killing two birds with one stone!
