“I’m going to lose everything…”

“My sketch of the Colonel had just become famous”, explained Pierre Palmade. “I had planned a huge medical record for not doing it. And I went to the visit, I had just passed by Drucker. And I went to see the doctor, I told him: ‘Listen, I’m starting to make a career, if I join the army, I’m going to lose everything. My craft begins.'”

According to his words, the soldiers would have been quite understanding: “They said to me: ‘Good, since you are honest, we are going to exempt you’ They put as a reason: ‘Risk of losing everything during the time of incorporation’. And they said to me: ‘Here, we let you go, in exchange, don’t beat the army too much if you’re famous'”.
