Since the beginning of the Ukrainian counter-offensive, four villages have been taken back from the hands of the Russians. What is the strategy of the kyiv armed forces?
The Ukrainian flag flies again over the ruins of a village, just taken back from the Russians. It’s the same pride, a few kilometers away, in front of a building in Neskoutchne (Ukraine). The kyiv army announces that it has driven the Russians out of four villages, located in the Donetsk region. It took over 16 km² in all, which is not much, but kyiv is trying to communicate on these first gains.
Attack at multiple locations at the same time
Several enemy soldiers were taken prisoner. These scenes illustrate the strategy that the Ukrainians would have adopted: that of attacking at the same time in multiple places. According to some sources, there would be at least six attack zones on the 1,200 km front. “They attack the Russian defensive wall by multiplying and repeating the assaults in different places until the wall falls”, explains Guillaume Ancel, a former officer in the French army. The Ukrainians will find an impressive line of defense against them. The Russians also publish images of victory.
