The “Earth Uprisings” were dissolved on Wednesday June 21 in the morning, in the Council of Ministers. The collective had been in the sights of the executive since the actions of Sainte-Soline, at the end of March.

The response of the “Earth Uprisings” is being organized, with several rallies on the evening of Wednesday June 21, against the dissolution. The collective was born three years ago, on the site of the former ZAD of Notre-Dame-des-Landes (Loire Atlantique). He opposes the government, to which he blames him for his lack of actions in the face of global warming. The movement brings together a hundred associations, such as Attac. “We will continue to defend land, and water”, explains Florien Robin, collective spokesperson.

The association filed an appeal with the Council of State

Actions are often accompanied by clashes with law enforcement. The government denounces the use of violence. “What is condemnable and what is condemned is the systematic use of violence”, notes Olivier Veran, government spokesperson. But France Insoumise and the schoolsogists denounce, them, an obstacle to the freedom of expression.

The “Earth Uprisings” will appeal to the Council of State. It is legally complicated to dissolve a nebula of association. “IThe question is whether this grouping in itself poses a problem”, believes for his part Benjamin Morel, lecturer in public law at the University of Paris II.
