How do we prepare for parties in shared apartments for the elderly?

The houses Ages & Life are more and more popular. They allow dependent elderly people, who can no longer stay alone at home, to continue to live in a secure environment, “at home”.

These 250 m2 houses are in fact shared apartments bringing together 8 elderly or disabled people. Each house of 380 has full foot access. It is composed of common areas (kitchen, dining room, living room), for meals and collective living, and private spaces (a studio or a bedroom of 30 m² furnished by the tenant and an individual bathroom) .

Opening up a range of possible choices, the company offers this lasting solution in an adapted and secure living environment. Employees (3 carers per household) work and live on site (upstairs with their families), with fixed hours and on-call duty, especially at night.

Today the Ages & Vie association has sites all over France. The trend is now to offer the creation of double units (each consisting of 2 adjoining units, but separate from 7 elderly people and 3 carers).

Depending on the needs and the GIR (group iso ressources), the prices are around 600 euros for rent and charges, 210 euros for food, and 1440 euros for services, knowing that the rental is eligible for aid APA, APL, insurance.

Tenants can benefit from an Ages & Life tax credit giving rise to a refund. According to Ages & Vie, the average of the amounts remaining payable by tenants, after deduction, would be around 1,600 euros.
