AP-HP Paris hospitals “will be ready” for the Olympic Games this summer in Paris, with “more opening of beds” in certain services which will be particularly “solicited”says the general director of the AP-HP, Nicolas Revel, on franceinfo Tuesday April 23.

“Normally, 30%” beds are closed “in the heart of summer”but there will be “opening more beds”. “A hundred or so services” will be “unquestionably requested” were identified: ambulance, emergencies, surgeries, intensive care. “We plan to open more beds”, for these services. On the other hand, maternity wards, oncology or geriatrics services will not have “no reason to have any particular pressure”.

No risk of shortage at the start of the school year
