True Hollywood star, especially known for his roles in films Slumdog Millionaire and LionDev Patel witnessed a violent altercation on Monday August 1 in Adelaide city center outside a petrol station, reports the DailyMail. A 34-year-old woman has been arrested for stabbing a 32-year-old man in the chest, whose life is not in danger according to the Australian channel 7News. Both would be husband and wife, specifies the same source in the report below.
“Dev followed his instincts to try to defuse the situation […] He stayed behind to make sure the police and the ambulance took care of them.Dev Patel’s agent said in a statement after the incident, as the actor was pictured speaking with officers following the tragedy. “There are no heroes in this situation”, is however specified in this report. “Sadly, this specific incident highlights the larger systemic problem of marginalized people in society who are not treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.”
