Comedy, singing, humour, imitations… we no longer count the talents of Liane Foly! Today “sexy”, she offers her audience a new sequel to her “Folles parenthèses” by tackling themes that are dear to her, such as her childhood in her parents’ drugstore, the family orchestra where she played her early scenes to the admirable people she was lucky enough to befriend. A great introspective but also interactive show which will take up residence, from the beginning of June 2023, at the Théâtre des Variétés, in Paris. To discuss it, the singer is the guest of Bruno Guillon this May 14 in The Good Sunday Show, on RTL. In a vein of confidences, the one who declared in the columns of Gala on May 11 to be a fulfilled single woman, also ensures that she has a “full life”. The artist has “had some pretty magical romantic encounters” and is not one to regret them. “It is in the past since they did not last. I like to live in the present”, she confides in Gala. “I have been single for ten years after a painful breakup.” And even admits to our colleagues: “Living alone has done me a lot of good, so I thank my ex. He did me a great favor by leaving me”.

“He just had to love me more. In fact, I don’t think he ever liked me“
And with Bruno Guillon, Liane Foly returned to her greatest regret: not having been able to record an album with her idol Barbara. A project that obviously could not be realized because it “was in hand”. Half a word, the singer who surely does not want to dig up the hatchet with his ex André Manoukian, remains very subtle on the subject… These two had met in 1983 in a ball orchestra in Nîmes and remained together for eleven years, sharing the same dreams and the same dramas, like this terrible accident car: “30 years ago, I rolled over seven times, at 160 km/h in a Porsche, in the front, seated on the right and without a belt. André Manoukian was at the back” she explained in The morning in March 2014. A complicity that continues today even if the two ex-lovers remained angry for five years! In question ? Unfortunate words in the biography of the juror of the NewStarreleased in 2008.”I am ashamed. It stinks. It lacks elegance. It feels like being in a Marc Dorcel film. I don’t want to hear that he suffered so much. He just had to love me more. In fact, I don’t think he ever liked me“ confided at the time the singer in the press. If everything seems to be back to normal between them, their passionate story has forever marked their mutual destinies. And, with Bruno Guillon, the artist confides: “I have met exceptional people in my life. And also working with wonderful people… like Barbara. And the only regret I have, I can tell you today, is that she asked me to do an album at some point… and, lo and behold, I was ‘in hand’ you could say, and that’s my great regret…” she lets go. Visibly embarrassed and not wanting to go too far on the subject, the host revives her: “You refused. You could not…” And to laugh and get out of this visibly embarrassing moment for her, Liane Foly starts to sing “I can’t, I don’t know, and I just stand there…”A conclusion full of finesse and that says a lot…
