Here we go again for the cycling tour of the Côte-d’Or

Future cycling stars may pass your doorstep. The Côte-d’Or cycling tour starts this Friday, July 8 from Montigny-sur-Aube. Departure at 1 p.m. to reach Chatillon-sur-Seine. And there will be a show: the Côte-d’Or cycling tour brings together 21 teams at “Nationale Une” level.“, in other words, it is the antechamber of the pros.

“Runners come from all over France to participate, and sometimes even from much further afield” specifies Regis Bouchesèche, the president of SCO Dijon who organizes this event. “Each year, we have 35 teams that want to register, and we choose the best. For this edition, we welcome at the last minute a team that arrives from the island of Oman.”

The Côte-d’Or is represented by the SCO Dijon which aligns 5 riders: Pierre Gautherat, Lucas Beneteau, Corentin Navarro, Mathieu Rigollot, Julien Souton are between 19 and 26 years old, and they are managed by Paul Herman who wants to believe in a victory “The stages will favor the punchers, and I will put a piece in the final classification on Souton” says the sports manager.

The last time a Côte-d’Orien won this round was in 2016 with Jeremy Cabot, now a pro at TotalEnergies.
