“Here, there are jobs”, declares Christine Guillemy, the mayor of Chaumont

During the special edition of the 13 Hours of France 2, Wednesday, December 22, residents of Chaumont (Haute-Marne) testified on the issue of purchasing power, on the feeling of isolation, of mobility vis-à-vis -visions of large agglomerations. The bet of the town hall of Chaumont is to bring back residents and city dwellers. “We are doing this because Chaumont is a city of tomorrow. It is a city in nature and I believe that more and more of our fellow citizens want to get closer to nature”, testifies Christine Guillemy, mayor (various right) of Chaumont.

For the mayor of Chaumont, her city has many services such as the prefecture and “numerous cultural activities”. There are also a lot of sporting activities. The mayor recalls that the city holds the label “sporting city”. It is also possible to do your higher education in Chaumont. “Here, there are jobs and real estate is not expensive”, recalls the mayor.
