Last month, we learned that Joël Le Bigot would bow out this spring after 45 years of loyal service. He will pilot the last of Saturday and nothing else June 18.

Franco Nuovo inherits the niche of the veteran. The host of Draw me a sunday will accompany listeners in “the continuity of what it offers” already, indicates the public broadcaster through a press release. From 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, culture, society and agriculture will be discussed. The Sunday collaborators will remain the same. The identity of the personalities who will surround him on Saturday will be confirmed later.

The arrival of Franco Nuovo on Saturday is part of a wave of changes on ICI Première. Jean-Sebastien Girard (The evening is [encore] young) will occupy a box he knows well, that of Sunday at 5 p.m., to deliver Jeannot BBQ, a 60-minute rendezvous that looks like well-done. Recorded in front of an audience, each program will be articulated around a “surprising” guest. In this new radio adventure, Jean-Sébastien Girard will be supported by several young comedians.

Rebecca Makonnen will be on the mic on Sunday at 6 p.m. His new show, which does not yet have a title, should offer “rich exchanges of ideas, lively discussions and free and uninhibited speeches”. All this with “a strong female presence”, specifies Radio-Canada. Rebecca Makonnen will host the latestWe’ll say what we wantits daily rendezvous since 2016, on Friday 17 June.

Rose-Aimée Autumn T. Morin and Paul Journet

ICI Première will also welcome two new hosts, Paul Journet and Rose-Aimée Automne T. Morin. The duo will pilot a weekly program in which they will address social issues. Radio-Canada stresses that “particular attention” will be paid “to the concerns and interests of 30-40 year olds”. The broadcast day and time will be revealed later this summer.
