At Ford, the Super Duty range receives the contribution of a new 6.8 L V8 which doubles the gasoline offer with another 7.3 L V8. The latter is also revised for 2023 in order to extract more power, but Ford hasn’t released any data to that effect. Two liveries of the 6.7L V8 turbodiesel will also be offered with different power levels. Active driver assists are added to its arsenal to make towing easier, in addition to active safety aids. The van will also be able to dock independently to Bell’s 5G internet network.
On the Ram side, the evolution focuses on its off-road capabilities with a new Rebel livery of its 2500 Heavy Duty. It incorporates revised suspensions, a locking limited-slip rear differential and a winch with a capacity of 5444 kg that can be installed. This does not affect the maximum towing capacity of 3116 kg. Two engines remain in contention, a 6.4L V8 (410 hp) and a Cummins 6.7L turbodiesel inline-six (370 hp).
