New rules have applied since Monday, November 29 in all schools, colleges and high schools. In particular, 6th year students must now carry out two self-tests per week.
A new health protocol has been applied since Monday, November 29 in all schools in France. It has been relaxed in order to avoid class closures. A relief for many parents of students. “It’s not easy to manage, when we have appointments, when we are a single mom”, confides a mother. In the event of Covid-19 in primary classes, massive screening will now be carried out, and only positive cases will have to isolate themselves for 10 days. “For educational continuity, it is better”, estimates Yves Jouanard, director of the Achard primary school in Bordeaux (Gironde).
In the sixth grade, unvaccinated middle school students will have to use nasopharyngeal self-tests twice a week. At the main concerts, opinions are divided. “It’s really not a piece of cake”, notes one student, while another considers that it is “a lot”. The tests should be carried out with the family. The ministry clarified that they would not be mandatory, however.
