Head to Mérignac for the Papillon Effect beer!

The Brasserie which was born in July 2017 in the metropolis of Mérignac. Born from a passion for craft beer, their leitmotif is to offer both original and balanced beers. They also brew other products with high added value for which the establishment in Gironde seemed quite obvious. You will find a range of beers aged in barrels and a penchant for brettanomyces!

At the brewery, they also have beers from enthusiasts and specialists. With their beer “Brett Series” They are on a beer of excellence and matured in barrels of wines from Italy.
A beer that stands out for the use of little-known yeasts: Brettanomyces and for aging in barrels with yeasts that bring funky, farmy and often very fruity notes to the beers.

To produce all this, the Butterfly Effect performs the work of the cellar master by blending the different barrels. The aging is done slowly in our barrels with durations that can vary. Currently, the shortest aging lasted 6 months and the longest experienced 21 months of breeding.

Brettanomyces very often bringing fruity notes, they add fruit to amplify these pleasant flavors.
