This Thursday, March 9, 2023, Cyril Hanouna received on the set of “Touche pas à mon poste”, Christine Imbert, the widow of the famous French criminal, Jacques Imbert, known as Jacky Imbert. Considered one of Marseille’s last godfathers, the figure of organized crime died in 2019 at the age of 89 and his wife is now signing a book entitled “Jacky Mat”, in which she recounts their life outside common, with the help of investigative journalist Frédéric Ploquin.
“He was the godfather of godfathers, he was the boss of the French environment for 30 or 40 years. He reigned as well in Paris as in Marseille. Viewers must be told that in 1977, this man took 22 bullets in the body and came out of it alive! Hence his nickname ‘The Immortal’…” rightly declared Frédéric Ploquin, also present on set.

“He killed a few people but not just any!”
Seeming to praise the criminal, he then analyzed: “He spent his life extorting thugs, that’s why they call him the godfather of godfathers. There were gambling circles in Paris and he was the big boss. He killed a few people, but not just anyone! In the book, we recount the three essential murders he committed and each time, it makes you switch from the French milieu.
His widow Christine Imbert then took the floor in turn to talk about their indestructible love story, despite the 41-year gap and despite his status as a notorious criminal. Something to annoy some viewers who were surprised to see Jacky Imbert complimented on his personality: “Weird this mania for advertising and highlighting “bandits” or convicts…”, “And we roll out the red carpet for him ?”, “Annoying this starification of racaillocracy”, “Subject without interest, I zap…”, “He killed a few people but we praise him! Hallucinating this highlight!” can we for example read among the reactions.
