He harassed women and went on TikTok | Sexual predator Robert Laramée released under strict conditions

A sexual sadist long suspected of having killed little Jolène Riendeau continues to alarm the authorities. During his parole, Robert Laramée contacted escorts, created a TikTok account and did not stop harassing employees of the correctional services.

” [Je ne suis] not made of wood, ”explained Robert Laramée to justify his disturbing research on young women on social networks. Concerned by the “deviant fantasies” of this “particularly explosive” sexual predator, the Parole Board of Canada imposed strict conditions of release on him at the end of June.

Robert Laramée, 59, was declared a long-term offender in 2013 for attacking two ex-spouses. He notably strangled a woman during sex and put a knife to the throat of another victim. It has been under long-term surveillance for 10 years since 2016.

Since then, Robert Laramée seems to make fun of his conditions. The authorities have suspended his freedom six times for numerous misdeeds in recent years. This spring, Robert Laramée was even sentenced to three months in prison for harassing parole officers.

Unusual fact: the Commission imposes as a special condition not to engage in harassing behavior within the meaning of the Criminal Code towards employees of the Correctional Service of Canada.

Also, the authorities discovered that Robert Laramée had contacted women on the internet – which he is prohibited from – and wrote to them “I love you”. He also created an account on TikTok and consulted many profiles of women, possibly minors, on social networks.

In total, the hardened criminal must respect no less than 22 conditions during his parole. Among other things, he is strictly forbidden to be in the presence of sex workers, since he has done research to join escorts.

Because of his level of dangerousness, the Commission assigns Robert Laramée to residence until the expiry of his mandate.

“You are an impulsive, irritable, unpredictable individual. […] The nature of your criminality targets just about anyone who upsets you and gets in your way. You also tend to target very vulnerable people in order to facilitate the response to your needs by controlling them, especially in a marital context,” explains the Commission.

Robert Laramée is known to have been suspected by the authorities of the murder of Jolène Riendeau, which occurred in 1999 in Montreal. The 10-year-old girl’s body was found 12 years later under an overpass near the Champlain Bridge. Former neighbor of the family at the time of the disappearance of the child, Robert Laramée has never been accused of the murder of the girl. He has always maintained his innocence.
