Kylian Mbappé is not one to let things go. The French striker reacted, Sunday, June 19, to the words of Noël Le Graët, at the JDD. The president of the French Football Federation returned to his relationship with the French striker, after their opposition over image rights with the Blues, and revealed an exchange that took place after Euro 2021.

“I had already received it after the Eurohe found that the Federation had not defended him after his missed penalty [face à la Suisse] and reviews on the networks. We saw each other for five minutes in my office.” And to reveal: “He was angry, he no longer wanted to play in the France team.” Kylian Mbappé wanted to give his version of the facts on his Twitter account: “I explained to him above all that it was in relation to racism and NOT to the penaltywrites the PSG striker. But he considered that there had been no racism…” After the elimination of the Blues, Mbappé had received many insulting messages on social networks.

This is not the first time that Noël Le Graët has been taken to task in cases of racism in football. “When a black player scores a goal, everyone is on their feet. The racist phenomenon in sport, and in football in particular, does not exist or hardly exists”, he said in September 2020 to BFM Business at the time of the affair between Neymar and Alvaro Gonzalez. This statement had drawn strong criticism.
