In Haut-Doubs on Saturday June 4, the Coni’fer tourist train had a braking problem. 11 people were taken to hospital.
At the dock, the Coni’fer, a Jura tourist train, is immobilized on Saturday June 4. In the middle of the journey in the Haut-Doubs, a brutal braking violently surprised about thirty retirees who were seated at the bar wagon. They were quickly attended to by firefighters. 11 people were taken to hospital, one of them in serious condition. “Many have been affected, there are many who have pain under the breasts, in the abdomen”says a woman interviewed.
For its part, the association that owns the train did not want to speak. Now the question is whether or not there was a failure in the braking system. The police opened an investigation. It must make it possible to determine the causes of this accident. This steam train, the highest in France, is taken every year by nearly 30,000 people.
