Grolet, Michalak, Conticini… which logs of madness do the greatest offer?

Every year, the capital’s Pastry Chefs make us salivate with their yule logs that are as beautiful as they are appetizing. From Cédric Grolet to Christophe Michalak via Philippe Conticini, France’s most talented craftsmen have once again pulled out all the stops for the holidays. The Meurice pastry chef also offers a sublime piece called “La Rivoli”. A crisp and praline dessert with hazelnut and fleur de sel in which a creamy caramel slips between a mousse infused with hazelnut milk and a delicious crunchy biscuit. The price ? 130 euros for 8 portions.

The hazelnut in the spotlight for New Year’s Eve

For his part, Christophe Michalak also relied on hazelnuts for his creation. Like his colleague, his dessert is a “crispy praline cocoa nibs, cocoa biscuit, intense chocolate cream, runny chocolate hazelnut cream, milk chocolate mousse”, can we read on the website of the 49-year-old chef. The price of this little marvel is a little lower than that of Cédric Grolet. You will only have to pay 52 euros for this dessert to share with 6. For orders, these are to be made between December 8 and 31.

In addition, Philippe Conticini offers three different models. On the one hand, a vanilla caramel log at 49 euros, on the other hand, a Yuzu Kumquat Dulce log at 53 euros. Unfortunately, the Yule log is no longer available… Much to the chagrin of the greediest who could have tasted this delicacy for 35 euros.

Finally, Cyril Lignac opted for an elegant and refined Christmas with a yule log inspired by Mont-Blanc. Created in collaboration with Benoit Couverture, this dessert is composed of a crunchy Madagascar vanilla meringue, a chestnut cream and a compote of red and black fruits. Yum !
