Reading the news of the last few weeks, I am overwhelmed by a wave of disbelief at the destruction of natural spaces in the city, despite political speeches dotted with biodiversity and ecological transition. I also feel a surge of admiration for all those residents who stand up, move, demonstrate against this destructive madness.
In my own borough, we are about to spend 5 million in a park on a multi-sport field in recycled tires and plastic to cover the natural grass. In 2023, here is a project that lacks imagination and, above all, that will generate a negative ecological balance!
But the elected persist and sign. They invite the population to a “consultation” on March 22, which is nothing more than an information session with a question period. As it was announced on Facebook during the spring break, it is on the sly that we will end up with a green space… plastic.
