In Greece, students oppose the privatization of higher education. There were several thousand of them in the streets of the capital, Athens, Thursday January 11. Clashes broke out with the police. The conservative government wants to attract major international schools. “We are fighting against this bill which opens the way to the creation of private universities. They will devalue our diplomas”denounces a Greek student. The mobilization should last four days.
The microplastics affair becomes political in Spain
In Spain, planes fly along the coast of Galicia and spot microplastics lost by a cargo ship at the beginning of last December. For several days, these microplastics have been polluting the beaches and angering residents.
