An emblematic musical meeting, the Glastonbury festival had to be eclipsed for two years in a row due to the coronavirus pandemic. He must make his return, with an enticing line-up announced on Wednesday March 4: Paul McCartney, Billie Eilish and Kendrick Lamar, among others.

Paul McCartney, former Beatles bassist, will perform on June 25 – a week after his 80th birthday – on the main stage. He will be followed the next day by Californian rapper Kendrick Lamar at the end of the festival.

Paul McCartney was already the headliner of what was to be the 50th edition of the festival in 2020, but the event, which usually welcomes more than 200,000 people in the southwest of England, had been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. In 2021, the festival was also canceled but replaced by a large concert without an audience broadcast live on the internet.

Among the other big names announced for the 2022 edition, the young American prodigy Billie Eilish, the queen of disco Diana Ross or even Foals and Wolf Alice will be there.

The festival will take place from June 22 to 26 and will be sold out, with the majority of entries having been allocated to ticket holders from previous canceled editions.
