Glamping: 5 places to sleep in a yurt in Quebec

Yurts are part of the multitude of ready-to-camp that can be rented in Quebec, and have been for many years. These dwellings of Mongolian origin allow you to enjoy nature in an original setting and they are particularly convivial given their circular shape.

Here are some of the places where it is possible to rent them in the province:

Alfred, Oscar’s neighbour, Sacré-Coeur, Côte-Nord

On the cliffs of the Saguenay Fjord, at the gates of the North Shore, Alfred, Oscar’s neighbor is a unique place. There are four comfortably equipped and carefully decorated yurts on a peaceful family farm. Each of the units has a roof with a transparent dome and a 100% intimate patio area outside, on the rocks. We tested them in the spring of 2022 and we recommend! The views of the fjord are unforgettable.

Yurts Aux 4 Vents, Carleton-sur-Mer, Gaspésie

In Carleton-sur-Mer, in Baie-des-Chaleurs, it’s not yurts in the forest that await you, they’re floating yurts. Available during the summer season, they are located in the barachois (the lagoon) in the heart of the village. A canoe is included in the rental, but it is also possible to use your own boat to get there. The yurts, two in number, offer a simple interior. The oldest of them has been welcoming visitors since 2009.
