Like every evening, the 11 p.m. news news takes a look at the news broadcast by European television channels. It’s Eurozapping on Wednesday June 5.
The Italian Prime Minister inaugurated a detention center in Albania. A symbolic visit a few days before the European elections. Giorgia Meloni visited the first immigration detention center set up by Italy in Albania. A device that she hopes to generalize: “This agreement for managing the migration problem can be replicated in many countries and can become part of the structural solution of the European Union.”
The center is scheduled to open in August. It must accommodate migrants rescued at sea. The construction of these centers has been openly criticized by the Italian opposition and several NGOs, who criticize inhuman treatment and denounce an illegal agreement under international law.
