Adam George-Ouellet, 36, has not returned to his home in the Hull sector since August 16.
The Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau (SPVG) says it has reason to fear for his health and safety.
Police believe he may be staying in shelters for homeless people in the Gatineau or Ottawa area, but he could also be elsewhere in Quebec or Ontario.
Adam George-Ouellet is about 1.60 meters tall, weighs about 50 kilograms, has a dark complexion and short black hair. When last seen, he was wearing a blue Tampa Bay Lightning cap, dark short-sleeved shirt and long pants, and a black watch on his wrist.
According to the police, he could get around on foot, by carpooling or using the services of a taxi or public transport.
The SPVG asks the public to keep an eye out, since the investigative steps taken so far have not made it possible to locate Adam George-Ouellet.
