Gad Elmaleh’s scathing focus live on TV

At 51, Gad Elmaleh is back with a new stage show. On this occasion, the famous humorist multiplies the interviews to look back on his career and indulge in a little more personal aspects. This Sunday, March 6, the father of the family granted an exclusive interview to Valérie Abecassis for the magazine Culture on i24NEWS, the international news channel.

Father of a little Raphaël born from his love affair with the Monegasque heiress, Charlotte Casiraghi, Gad Elmaleh confided in his relationship with the princely family of Monaco: “There is what I call wheat, even if it’s pejorative. It’s the one who is from elsewhere, the one who is withdrawn, the one who has no place. [À Monaco], I was afraid of being unsuitable” he confessed before adding: “Prince Albert attended my show in Monaco. He is a man with a lot of humor and humility. I have a lot of affection for him. He came after the show and we talked about it. He was very amused and very touched.”

The comedian then spoke on the issue of immigration, one of the themes of his show. He therefore did not fail to recall that he himself had been an immigrant upon his arrival in France: “I stood in line at the Île de la Cité prefecture to get a residence permit for days They flayed my name and I was with the whole world, all the countries of Africa, the Middle East, Asia. It is I who can talk about immigration in France, and it is not not a bobo who will teach me a lesson! […] I prayed for the right to work in France. At some point, it’s up to me to be critical of those who behave badly and those who don’t like France the way I like it,” he explained.
