Back in the field after his parental leave, the spokesperson for Québec solidaire, Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois, said he was worried about a rise on the right.

“There are ideas that we haven’t heard of for a long time that are starting to circulate again […] I watch this and it worries me. I am sure that as a solidarity you also worry, “said Mr. Nadeau-Dubois, who believes that the by-elections in Marie-Victorin are an opportunity for his party to “build a bulwark against this rise of the right”.
While Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois is calling on progressive voters in Longueuil to go to the polls on April 11, his party’s candidate, Shophika Vaithyanathasarma, is committed to promoting the creation of intergenerational homes.
“Faced with the failure of our care system for the elderly and the housing crisis, we must consider all solutions to benefit the quality of life of the people of Marie-Victorin. If I am elected on April 11, I will fight for grant programs to promote the emergence of intergenerational homes,” she said.
“The commitment that Shophika is making today, that of fighting for intergenerational housing in Marie-Victorin, is a perfect illustration of what Québec solidaire stands for, a Québec of social justice for all generations”, finally added the spokesperson for Québec solidaire.
