“Full of complicated memories”: Big change for the family of Jean-Pierre Pernaut, his upset daughter

The historic presenter of the 1 p.m. newscast, affected by lung cancer, had indeed succumbed to several strokes after a long battle against the disease. A very difficult ordeal for his young children and his wife, who had stood up during the funeral (also with Julia and Olivier, the two eldest born from a first marriage) and who are now trying to rebuild themselves, probably leaving behind the many memories of their home.

A new start that will no doubt do them good, especially the young girl who recently confided that she was still struggling to recover from the death of her father, despite a relative good mood on her social networks. Regularly tackled by Internet users for her smile, she revealed that it was only a facade.

This kind of comments, really, I don’t condone… It’s not because I show that I’m doing badly that I’m not bad, it’s not because I show that I’m smiling that I’m not sad.. .” she said, on the verge of tears. “In fact, what do you want? If you want to see me cry all day, don’t subscribe, I don’t want a community like you, I want a good vibes community“.

A strong message, concluded on an extremely moving note: “When you lose someone, you can’t cry non-stop, so you try to take it upon yourself, to act as if everything is fine (…) but no, I’m not fine. To tell you the truth, I even spent my day crying because today was supposed to be my father’s birthday.“. Jean-Pierre Pernaut would indeed have been 72 years old on April 8th.
