Rugby: French XV players arrested in Argentina for alleged sexual violence to be heard by the courts soon

The two players of the French XV were taken into custody at the Interpol premises in Buenos Aires. They will be transferred on Wednesday July 10 to Mendoza, the scene of the alleged sexual violence. Local police sources say the woman said she felt dizzy after having a few drinks with the two players. They allegedlyyoutaken to the hotel where the Blues were staying, where she says she was sexually assaulted. The woman filed a complaint the following afternoon. “The deposition was quite long, complete, detailed, and corresponded for the time being to the forensic conclusions”said the attorney general of Mendoza.
Heard by the courts, the rugby players admit to having had a consensual relationship with this woman, but deny any violence towards her. Their lawyer assures that he has evidence that he will present at the first hearing. His clients face up to 20 years in prison.
