Eve Faces Arrest
At the police station, Lieutenant Cross briefs Commissioner Becker about a new witness who provided a detailed account of a woman seen at the crime scene. While Commissioner Becker finds it odd that a woman might be linked to a botched drug deal, Yann suggests that she could simply be an innocent observer.
Meanwhile, Eliott is attempting to persuade Muriel to invest the 15,000 euros they have into launching their business. Unfortunately, Muriel does not share his enthusiasm, believing they need a significantly larger sum to commence. Feeling that Muriel’s passion for the project has waned, she confronts him about his reckless decisions, particularly regarding his entanglement with someone who was extorting him. Eliott admits that his earlier choices were not well thought out, but the damage to their trust has already been done.
As the day progresses, Yann and Alex review surveillance footage and spot a distressed woman getting into a vehicle. Alex quickly identifies her as Eve.
Without wasting time, the two officers report their findings to Commissioner Becker. He instructs them to bring Eve in for questioning but warns them not to disclose anything to Manu just yet.
Later that day, Muriel reaches out to Eve, inquiring if she was aware of Eliott’s plans to return to Abidjan. Eve assures her that she was not in the loop. Sensing that Eve might be concealing something, Muriel expresses her gratitude for the financial help Eve provided to Eliott, as well as her ongoing support. Just as Eve promises to always be there for them, she abruptly cuts the conversation short, as Yann and a colleague arrive to escort her to the station.
Achille Encounters the Florist’s Followers
In the morning, Achille requests his mother’s permission for a movie outing that evening. If she agrees, Cécile is curious about who he will be going with. Achille mentions he is going with Charlotte, a classmate, but becomes uneasy when his mother probes further.
Meanwhile, Sohan offers to drive his daughter home after school. Charlotte declines, claiming she has plans with friends instead.
At the courthouse, Cécile has a meeting with Armand Bottin, who assaulted Mr. Laforge. Despite being capable of murder, Armand expresses indifference, stating that eliminating “one less scumbag” from the world wouldn’t bother him. This sentiment deeply unsettles Cécile, especially as it echoes the same rhetoric Christophe once used. Consequently, she denies his request for release.
After school, Charlotte leads Achille to the forest, specifically to the location where Christophe took his own life. There, they stumble upon a gathering of people honoring Christophe’s memory, who believe that he acted justly by eliminating criminals who escaped justice. Moved by their tributes, Achille experiences a wave of emotion.
Meanwhile, Cécile and Florent have enjoyed a cozy afternoon together. Content, Florent suggests spending the weekend together, but Cécile declines. Though she cherishes these intimate moments with him, she prefers to keep things casual for now, and Florent expresses that he respects her decision.
Afterward, Achille thanks Charlotte for the meaningful experience, admitting it meant a lot to him to hear positive reflections about his father. After sharing heartfelt thoughts about Christophe, Charlotte confesses how great she feels with him and kisses him softly.
Joyful, Achille returns home, catching Cécile’s attention, who playfully teases him. Alone, Achille gazes at a photo of him and Charlotte on his phone, when suddenly, he feels a familiar presence enveloping him, as if his father were nearby.
