Four years after the double murder of Jeanne Lelong and Paul Pastor in 2018 in Saint-Marcel-lès-Sauzet in the Drôme, Francisco Gonzalez-Ortiz is sentenced again this Friday, September 23, 2022 to life imprisonment after three days of his appeal trial.
It is the epilogue of four years of pain for the families of Jeanne Lelong 84 years old and her friend Paul Pastor 67 years old, two retirees from Saint-Marcel-lès-Sauzet in the Drôme, savagely killed on the evening of June 18, 2018. The main suspect Francisco Gonzalez-Ortiz was sentenced on September 23, 2022 to life imprisonment after three days of appeal trial in Grenoble. Sentence already pronounced by the Assises de la Drôme last November. Francisco Gonzalez-Ortiz continued to maintain his innocence despite plenty of evidence that seemed to overwhelm him at the crime scene.
