According to a recent study, nnine out of ten black people in mainland France say they are victims of racial discrimination in their everyday lives. This is the result of the latest barometer of the Representative Council of Black Associations (Cran), which franceinfo and the newspaper The Parisian unveiled on Wednesday 15 February. To talk about it in franceinfo junior, the program invites Patrick Lozès, President of the Representative Council of Black Associations (Cran). He answers questions from CM2 students at the Rouanet school in Paris.
The first question goes to Dodge: “Why are people in 2023 still so racist?” asks the student. Dehia wants to know “How did racism appear and why did it go after blacks and not whites?” Another schoolboy question concerns the fight against racism: at the microphone, Déhia wonders how many associations or people are involved in this fight. “Is racism going to exist forever?” Boris questions in turn.
On this page, re-listen in full to this franceinfo junior program devoted to racism and the means to fight against it.
