On the occasion of World Pharmacists’ Day this Monday, September 25, franceinfo junior opens the doors of a pharmacy. To answer children’s questions, the show welcomes Pierre-Olivier Variot, president of the Union of Community Pharmacists’ Unions (USPO) and pharmacist himself in Plombières-lès-Dijon in Côte-d’Or. He answers questions from CM1 students at the Louise Michel school in Vigneux-sur-Seine in the Paris region.

To start the show, Soukeyna wonders how medicines are created. “Do you always have the right medications that you are asked for?” continues Laura on the microphone. “Why are there no longer Doliprane syrups for children in pharmacies?” Léa bounced back. “Have you ever taken the wrong medicine?” Rita questions in turn.

“When someone had Covid, how did you go about treating them and seeing if they had Covid or not?” continues Stanley. Thiago also asks the guest why he wanted to become a pharmacist. Finally, Sofia wants to know if the pharmacist works “night and day”.
