New step in the lifting of health restrictions. France will end the obligation of Covid-19 screening tests for all travelers from outside Europe who have been vaccinated “in the next few days”announced Clément Beaune, the Secretary of State for European Affairs, on France 2, Tuesday, February 8.
These tests have been required since December 2021 and the spread of the Omicron variant. For the time being, any traveler entering French territory from a country outside the European area (including the United Kingdom) must present a negative PCR or antigen test less than 48 hours old.
“There will undoubtedly be a new European practice this week so that vaccinated people who come from outside the European Union into the European Union have lightened measures.”

The Twenty-Seven have already agreed to better coordinate the rules applicable to travel within the EU. Several countries, including Italy or Denmark, still require travelers, even vaccinated against Covid-19, to present negative tests to enter their territory.
