Moscow must “immediately stop its aggression against Ukraine”. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna, asked Russia, Wednesday September 20, to listen to the calls for peace launched by “almost all states members of the UN and the Security Council of the body.

“Ideas of peace are progressing”, assured the minister, after participating in the Security Council in New York. During a meeting, “number of countries” expressed “their concern” as the war drags on, she stressed. “These voices are being raised. They must be encouraged.”
The minister was unable to speak with her Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, also present at the Security Council. The head of Russian diplomacy only “briefly” sat: he “came, gave his speech full of untruths as usual and lies, then left”she lamented.
