Måneskin is probably the hottest rock band of the moment. The Italian quartet won Eurovision in May 2021 and rose to international fame. They will also be present on Thursday, August 22 for the second day of the Rock en Seine festival. Their charm? Their ability to deliver an exceptional show at every concert.

The band got their start playing on the streets of Rome, then gained national recognition through the talent show “X Factor Italia” and finally global fame through Eurovision. Although the stages on which the singers performed have grown in size, the energy they brought has always managed to fill the space. We have selected some of Måneskin’s best live performances throughout their career.

1 “Beggin”, “X Factor Italia 2017”

How can we talk about Måneskin’s performances without mentioning this cover of The Four Seasons’ hit? The first time the quartet performed Beginit was during the second week of the show “X Factor Italia”. And although it was only their second performance, their presence was already evident: the members of the group were running through the audience, hitting each other’s heads and Damiano David, the group’s charismatic singer, himself was strutting around the stage screaming the song.

2 “Kiss This”, “X Factor Italia 2017”

“X Factor Italia,” same season 2017: the four-piece quickly impressed the judges and gained fans in their home country with performances that pushed the boundaries of what was possible. Like the one below, in which frontman Damiano David, dressed in a mesh shirt and stilettos, delivers a pristine cover of Kiss This Struts while twirling around a pole dance bar.

3 “I Wanna Be Your Slave”, Lollapalooza 2022

Performing their 2021 single I Wanna Be Your Slave at the Lollapalooza festival in Paris, the band shows an extraordinary dynamism. Måneskin is a tight-knit group, with guitarist Thomas Raggi and bassist Victoria De Angelis often teaming up to dialogue in frenetic solos. And when he’s not singing, Damiano David stimulates the crowd, while drummer Ethan Torchio, a monster of energy, keeps everything together. What’s more, during the performance, the band’s singer stops to make sure that no one in the crowd is fainting, making this moment all the more endearing.

4 “Good and Good”, Sanremo 2021

At this point, Måneskin have several live performances of their huge hit Good and happy. But the most memorable performance of the song, aside from their Eurovision win, was the one that helped them win Italy’s annual Sanremo 2021 contest, which also saw them represent Italy at Eurovision. Set in an opulent concert hall with a backing band, the band, dressed in black sequined jumpsuits, set the stage ablaze in breathtaking fashion.
