In recent weeks, rising prices have continued to wreak havoc in several areas. This is the case in food, where the price of raw materials is exploding. Reporting.

Rising prices and purchasing power will certainly be the main topics of the future presidential election. Fuel, gas and also foodstuffs are experiencing exceptional soaring prices. Since this summer, an increase of 37% has been found for wheat used for bread, 63% for durum wheat used for pasta, 20% for oils and finally 10% for sugar.

Several reasons are the cause of this inflation. The most important remain the poor global harvests which continue to push up the prices. However, this inflation is not bad news for everyone. “For a cereal producer, it is always good news to be able to sell his production at a very good price”, rejoices Jérôme Martin, cereal grower at Loyette (Ain). A turnover which increased by 20% compared to last year.
