Businesses are affected by repeated floods in Pas-de-Calais. In Bourthes, the water rose again during the night of Monday January 1st to Tuesday January 2nd. An agricultural machinery repair company finds itself at a standstill.
In the society Denquinan agricultural equipment repair company located in Bourthes (Pas-de-Calais)the water rose about thirty centimeters. After the November floods, it’s about a new blow hard for the manager. “The activity is completely at a standstill, we cannot help our customers, work, bring in money. We will not be able to restart activity before, we think, a fortnight”deplores Elodie Denquinmanager of the company Denquin.
Make the workshop usable to fulfill orders
On the night of Monday January 1 to Tuesday January 2, a torrent of water arrived in the center of Bourthes. The company was not spared from the floods. There is almost a million euros in damage. The main objective of the entire team is to make the workshop workable to fulfill orders. The 18 employees simply want to return to their usual activity. In the administrative part of the company, the construction site is the same. The November repairs had just been completed. Repeated floods in Pas-de-Calais leave their mark and affect all businesses in the area.
