The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) announces that it has arrested five people and seized weapons and narcotics this week in the Saint-Michel district.

On Wednesday, investigators “searched a place serving as a point of sale and consumption of narcotics in the Saint-Michel sector”, can we read in a press release from the police force published on Friday. They seized a prohibited firearm as well as “67.21 g of cocaine, 35.4 g of crack, 1333 tablets of amphetamine, 875 tablets of ecstasy, 1.5 l of GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate), 2 .27 kg of marijuana and more than $19,000”.
Four people were arrested during this operation, “two of whom face various charges related to the possession of a firearm and the possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking”.
Thursday, investigators arrested a person and seized “a prohibited weapon and charger” in Pointe-aux-Trembles.
The SPVM points out that these investigations “were carried out following information received from the public”. The police force encourages the public to contact 911, a neighborhood station, or Info-Crime Montreal to share information.
