Fishing, a practice and a hobby much appreciated by many members in the Dordogne. It must be said that the department has many spots: streams, rivers, ponds and lakes. While waiting for the fish to take the bait, it is also a time to contemplate the Périgord nature alone or with friends. Yvon Delpy is a fishing enthusiast. He was a fishing instructor in Neuilly before coming to settle in the Dordogne. He comes regularly to fish at the Etang de Born in Salagnac in Périgord Vert. Fishing is authorized there all year round. During the specific periods when certain predators are closed, their release, whatever their size, is obligatory but what a joy when the line is agitated, a small departure and even if sometimes this picks up, the pleasure of being at the edge of the water remains intact.

For Jean-Michel and Patrick who are staying in Corrèze, fishing at the Etang de Born is a real pleasure:
It’s a very clean, pleasant pond where everyone says hello. There are walkers, fishermen. All the conditions are met for good fishing. It’s a good place to fish, even during the night, it’s quite interesting.
Jean-Michel and Patrick sometimes sleep there. Fishing at night is different, but it’s an opportunity to share, discuss and tell good stories over a drink.
