Julian Alaphilippe won this Tuesday for the first time this season. The Auvergnat won, in a sprint, the 2nd stage of the Tour of the Basque Country between Leiza and Viana, 154.8 km long. The rider from the Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl team waited patiently in the peloton before ideally placing himself a few hectometres from the finish.
In the general classification, after two stages, still leading the Slovenian Primoz Roglic. In 3rd position the Clermontois Rémi Cavagna.
The 3rd stage will take place this Wednesday between Amurrio and Llodio.
