Beautiful sunny weather and summer temperatures exceeding 22 degrees will be in order for the first time of the year on Thursday in several sectors of southern Quebec.
The mercury will therefore rise on Thursday with maximum temperatures that can reach or exceed 22 degrees in greater Montreal, or even 24 degrees in certain sectors of the Outaouais.
In addition to the Outaouais and Montreal, Environment Canada anticipates a surge of mild and sunny weather with a mercury of 20 to 22 degrees in Montérégie, the Laurentians, Lanaudière and Estrie which could stretch over four days.
Even if the sun will be present, the sectors of eastern Quebec will not have the expected mildness elsewhere, since temperatures will be below normal for the season in several sectors of Bas-Saint-Laurent, Gaspésie and the North Shore.
In the meantime, the sky will be overcast almost everywhere on Wednesday with some clearings in the center of the province, while intermittent rain, sometimes mixed with snow, is expected in the morning in the Bas-Saint-Laurent and on the Gaspé tip.
Regions where the mercury will reach 22 degrees on Thursday:
- Estrie
- Lanaudiere
- Laurentians
- Laval
- Monteregie
- Montreal
- Outaouais
