An intervention by the Paris firefighters is underway, Wednesday October 9 at 10 p.m., rue de l’Université, after a flood in the premises of the National Assembly in Paris, franceinfo learned from the capital’s firefighters.
According to Paris firefighters, as heavy rain fell on the capital on Wednesday evening due to the Kirk depression, a pipe located in the first basement of the National Assembly, where courtrooms and offices are located of deputies, exploded. It was a blockage in this pipe that exploded, add the firefighters. The second basement is also flooded.
Paris firefighters were able to identify the pipe in question and the leak is about to be repaired. On videos shared by MPs on social networks, in particular by the Somme MP François Ruffin, we see downpours of water falling from the ceiling, as well as a completely flooded courtroom.
