A sequel to the film has been planned for a long time beetle juice is in the air. It seems to be coming to fruition with Tim Burton back behind the camera and Jenna Ortega possibly in the cast.
According The Hollywood Reporter, actor Michael Keaton would resume his famous role in the striped suit. Other media are claiming that Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara would do it too.
Jenna Ortega, who will be a guest on Saturday at Saturday Night Live on the sidelines of the film’s release Scream 6, would play the daughter of Lydia, the character of Winona Ryder. She also plays in the series wednesday, directed by Tim Burton for Netflix.
beetle juice was released in 1988 and the film became cult. The fantasy comedy sequel is reportedly produced by Warner Bros and filming could begin in June in London.
