Many SMEs in France are family businesses. Among them, Michelin or Auchan.
In France, eight out of ten companies are family businesses. They employ 13 million people and produce 60% of GDP. Main challenge: to persist from generation to generation. Today in France, only 22% of businesses are transferred within the same family, far behind our European neighbors, Italy (80%), Austria (75%) and Germany (51%). .
