On the evening of May 29, 2022, the inert body of Odna Daudier, 32, was found in a vehicle parked on the side of the street, near the intersection of boulevard de la Rivière-des-Prairies and 7e Street. The corpse bore no signs of apparent violence.

Nevertheless, after numerous investigative steps, various expert opinions carried out on the victim’s body and toxicological analyses, the police were able to establish several months later that the woman had been murdered.

To date, the authorities have still not revealed how Odna Daudier was killed.

Last week, the ex-spouse of Mme Daudier, as well as his new spouse, were arrested and then charged with premeditated murder.

On Tuesday, Montreal police asked for the public’s help in locating a pedestrian who may have information relevant to the murder investigation, which is still ongoing.

The pedestrian arriving from rue Bélanger and heading towards rue d’Avila.

This individual was therefore filmed the day before the discovery of the lifeless body of Odna Daudier.

Police did not specify what kind of information this person might have about the murder.

Last week, The Journal of Montreal had revealed that the victim of the feminicide feared her ex-husband, Jacques Adonai Charpentier, so much that she had cameras installed around her residence as well as in her car.

Odna Daudier was a woman of Haitian origin who immigrated to Quebec in 2013. She had left the accused shortly before being murdered.

According to relatives of the victim, Jacques Adonai Charpentier had tried to strangle Odna Daudier on two occasions in the months preceding their breakup.

The 39-year-old man had also been charged with assault, threats and forcible confinement in February 2022 following an altercation with the victim and he was awaiting trial.
