They are two to climb on the first step of the podium less than a week before the start of the Olympic Games. Federica Brignone and Cornelia Huetter came first in the same hundredth on the Super-G of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Sunday January 30.

The Italian, leader in the general classification of the specialty, took the opportunity to accentuate her lead over her pursuers and position herself as the number one favorite for the Olympic gold medal. For the 29-year-old Austrian, 22nd in this same classification before crossing the starting gate, this is her first victory since the descent of Lake Louise in December 2017.

The French have, once again, not shone. Romane Miradoli, leader of French speed finished in sixth position ahead of Tiffany Gauthier (23rd), Laura Gauche (25th), Camille Cerutti (36th) and Esther Paslier (39th).
