(Ottawa) The federal Liberals plan to meet in convention in Ottawa in the spring of 2023.

The Liberal Party of Canada announced on Sunday that this national convention will take place from May 4 to 6, 2023. Some of the participation may be virtual.
On the agenda: policy discussions, guest speakers, training and the election of the party’s next national board of directors.
The previous congress in 2021 was held virtually only due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the last general election, Justin Trudeau’s Liberals won a second consecutive minority mandate.
They recently made a deal with the NDP. In exchange for support in important parliamentary votes, they promised to promote many of the priorities of New Democrats.
